John Hargrove Environmental Complex is the one to know if you like a walk with some scenery. It has a 1.6-mile trail, an educational pond, a wildlife viewing area, and even a bike repair station for cyclists passing through. Aaron Pasternak Memorial Park and Centennial Park each offer a 1.04-mile trail with shaded playgrounds and picnic areas, and Centennial adds lighted basketball and tennis courts plus a water splash pad for hot afternoons.
Shorter loops are scattered around town too — Cypress Village Park, South Gate Park, and Woody Street Park each have trails under half a mile, good for a quick walk with a stroller or a dog.
